SFNF Hosts Glorieta Rock Art Tour Aug. 14

SANTA FE – The community is invited to join the Santa Fe National Forest’s Site Stewards Wednesday, Aug. 14 to explore two unusual horizontal rock art panels on Glorieta Mesa.

The petroglyphs are unique in both design and location. Both panels are easily accessible, but the trip will require carpooling in high-clearance vehicles. Sunscreen, snacks, water and closed-toe shoes are recommended.

Adults in the community are invited to a free magic show and workshop Thursday, July 18 at the Betty Ehart Senior Center.
 
Professor Cheesecurdle has been a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM) since 1975. He also is a member of the highly respected Order of Merlin in the IMB association.
 
Lunch can be purchased for $10, if reservations are made by 10 a.m. Thursday. Members 60 and over can purchase lunch for $5.

SANTA FE New Mexico Film Office Director Todd Christensen has announced that the feature film “Half Brothers,” a moving comedy with heart in the vein of “Little Miss Sunshine,” “Green Book” and “Rain Man,” is starting production today in New Mexico.
 
Based in Albuquerque, “Half Brothers” will film ithrough late August, shooting on locations in and around Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Cedar Crest, Los Lunas and Hatch.
