The community is welcome to attend ScienceFest fun, all weekend long, as Discovery Day kicks off 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
You may have seen some fun promotional tickets, but organizers want to make sure everyone knows that the large event in Los Alamos downtown area is free, no ticket needed! She will take the stage at 8 p.m. today at the Ashley Pond Pavilion as part of the Secret City Summer Concert Series. In addition to Shepherd, the show will feature singer-songwriter Eryn Bent as well as Gabriella Salazar, a 14 year old native Taoseña. Scenes From TIME Exhibit At UNM-Los Alamos

McDonough participated in the Temporary Installations Made For the Environment or TIME exhibit, which is part of ScienceFest. The theme of the exhibit is Aha! McDonough said his piece is a wind vane, which shows the direction the wind is blowing at different heights. The piece is made of a 25 foot long steel pipe and the vanes are made from a 3-D printer.
