The Los Alamos County Library children’s librarians and Los Alamos Juvenile Justice Advisory Board (JJAB) invite children and their parents or caregivers to a community playdate 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 3 at Mesa Public Library, 2400 Central Ave., Youth Services Zone.

Winter Films And Beer At Reel Deal Thursday

The public is invited to readings and discussion about the immigrant experience, 2-4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 27 in Mesa Public Library’s Upstairs Rotunda.
 
The readings will feature Los Alamos poet Jane Lin and Santa Fe poet Lauren Camp, both of whose work is anthologized in the new book “Two-Countries – US Daughters & Sons of Immigrant Parents,” edited by Tina Schumann. Following the readings by the two featured poets, there will be an open mike session where people will be invited to read their own short writing about immigration.

Mysteries At The Museum Episode Features Los Alamos And Manhattan Project On Travel Channel Tonight

At the end of October, the Travel Channel crew visited Los Alamos to film an episode of Mysteries at the Museum at Fuller Lodge.

The episode features Los Alamos and the Manhattan Project.

The producers notified the County today that the show will air at 8 p.m. today on the Travel Channel and other showings will be available.

New Mexico Film Office Announces HBO’s New Drama Series ‘Succession’ To Film In New Mexico

SANTA FE  New Mexico Film Office Director Nick Maniatis announced Thursday that the new HBO Drama series “Succession” will begin principal photography in New Mexico after shooting previous episodes in New York.
 
Production on the episode being filmed in New Mexico will begin in mid-January and run through the end of January.
 
“‘Succession’ starts off 2018 in what we are confident will be another booming year of production for our film industry in New Mexico,” New Mexico Film Office Director Nick Maniatis said.
