ALBUQUERQUE  People around the world can now view artifacts from the National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) online through a partnership with Google Arts and Culture.
 
Thanks to this new virtual exhibition, users will be able to see Mundos de Mestizaje, a 4,000-square-foot painting that is the largest concave fresco in North America, in addition to select pieces from the NHCC Art Museum’s permanent collection.

Ullr Fest Transportation To And From White Rock

COUNTY News:

The DWI Planning Council is partnering with Atomic City Transit (ACT) to provide additional bus service this Saturday, Sept. 23 for Ullr Fest.

Shuttles run every 30 minutes between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from the Sullivan Field parking lot to the Ski Hill and back. The additional service is between the White Rock Visitor Center and Sullivan Field.

Valles Caldera Hosts Fall Star Parties

JEMEZ SPRINGS — Valles Caldera National Preserve will be hosting two star parties this fall 7-10:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 and 6:30-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14. 
 
To minimize light pollution, gates will close 1.5 hours after the event begins, so late arrivals risk not being able to participate.

Best-selling author J. A. Jance will speak at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, at Fuller Lodge as part of the Los Alamos County Library System’s Authors Speak Series.
 
Her latest book, “Proof of Life,” was just released Sept. 5. This will be Jance’s only New Mexico appearance on her fall book tour. J. A. Jance’s books will be for sale at the talk, thanks to Collected Works Bookstore.
