ALBUQUERQUE — Enrich your child’s summer this year with mind-expanding fun at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science’s (NMMNHS) popular Young Explorers Summer Camp program.
 
Registration is now open for children from kindergarten through the eighth grade. Each Summer Camp session is one week long, with activities 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. every weekday. Each week is theme-based, with the first session beginning the week of June 12 and the last beginning the week of July 30.

A question posted on the Keep It Local – Los Alamos Facebook page Friday by Lisa Bracy concerning a game called “Fugitive” played by local teens drew dozens of answers and comments over a 24-hour period before local teen Stephanie Nielsen explained it on the site.

EGGSTRAVAGANZA 2017: Donations Needed

It is time again to prepare for the annual EGGSTRAVAGANZA! Last year 15,000 plastic eggs (filled with goodies) were spread over the golf course.

More than 800 kids (ages 12 and under) raced to gather. It is always a great time for all ages of kids.

All kids are invited to attend. Please arrive early.

Savage is a conservationist, geographer, professor emerita with UCLA, and director of the Four Corners Institute in Santa Fe. The book is published by UNM Press and contains an introduction by William de Buys, along with essays by Rina Swentzell, G. The Board of Directors of the  Los Alamos Museum of Art hosted a  special reception Thursday evening at the Karen Wray Gallery on Central Avenue in downtown Los Alamos. House Passes Ban On Conversion Therapy

SANTA FE The New Mexico House of Representatives passed Senate Bill 121 Wednesday evening, a bill that would ban so-called conversion therapy for individuals under 18 years of age.

The bill is sponsored by Sen. Jacob Candelaria (D-Albuquerque) and Rep. Andrés Romero (D-Albuquerque). Conversion therapy, aimed at changing a person’s sexual orientation and/or gender identity, has been rejected by the American Psychiatric Association and the American Medical Association.
