“Inferno” is the latest movie based on a novel by Dan Brown. As with the films made from Brown’s other popular novels, “The DaVinci Code” and “Angels and Demons”, this film is fast paced. In it, we travel from Florence, Italy, to Venice and on to Istanbul, Turkey. One would be hard put to feel bored watching this movie.

Daily Postcard: Sun Dog makes a brief appearance in Los Alamos on the afternoon of Oct. 27. Sun dogs, mock suns or phantom suns, are an atmospheric phenomenon that consists of a pair of bright spots on either horizontal side on the Sun, often co-occurring with a luminous ring known as a 22° halo. Cinema Cindy Reviews ‘Doctor Strange’

By CYNTHIA BIDDLECOMB
Los Alamos

“Dr. Strange” is the latest Marvel graphic novel to come to the screen.

This one provides the backstory for the hero of the same name. Marvel comic book readers will know, that Dr. Stephen Strange is an egotistical human being, a much celebrated, though thoroughly arrogant neurosurgeon.

By JIM NESMITH
Los Alamos

I attended the same opening performance and it was a wonderful experience, enjoyed by every single person in the house with the obvious exception of Bonnie. I agree with Bonnie that she was not the ideal person to review the play and go further in saying she should have recused herself.

Yes, the characters were stereotypes but so what? Show me one play or movie in which that is not the case to at least some degree. We Read More
