Greg plays around about 225 shows a year, all over the world. He’s been dubbed the “Prince of bebop” by the Washington Post and is one of the top saxophonists in the world. “Granite Mountain” is a motion picture based on the real-life Granite Mountain Hotshots, an elite group of wildland firefighters that courageously battled one of the worst wildfires in history to save an Arizona town.
The production is based at Pajarito Mountain through Wednesday, July 29 and will be producing the following special effects and impacts:
- FIRE on Pajarito Mountain, film crews under direct supervision of the Los Alamos Fire Department’s Wildland Division, will produce controlled ground fire. Current dates for ground fire are June 21, June 27 and June 28.

The Art in Public Places Board and members of the Los Alamos County Council will join artist Eric Thelander in the ribbon-cutting and art dedication of the County’s newest art work, “Solar Tree,” at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 23.
“Solar Tree” is located in the west plaza of the County Municipal Building in downtown Los Alamos.
