Los Alamos Arts Council Hosts Oil Painting Raffle
The Los Alamos Arts Council is hosting a raffle to raise funds for the nonprofit organization. The item being raffled is an oil painting by Santa Fe Artist Wendy Higgins. Los Alamos resident Marvel Harrison donated the painting to the arts council. Tickets cost $5 each or $20 for five. To purchase a ticket, contact the Arts Council at 505.663.0447. Yes, Albert Einstein visited Los Alamos this past weekend in the person of Tom Schuch in AAUW’s production of Einstein: A Stage Portrait, Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon at the Little Theater.
The Little Theater was nearly full for both performances. The complexity of Einstein’s personality was on full display with stories from his childhood, adolescence and college days
