Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) is offering another way to connect with nature, through art. Lisa Coddington is teaching a wildlife drawing class from 10 a.m. to 2​ p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the Los Alamos Nature Center.

The Ark Preschool will hold a fundraising event, Fat Tuesday Around the World, 5:45-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9 at the First United Methodist Fellowship Hall, 715 Diamond Dr., in Los Alamos.

A sit down, four-course meal consisting of Prime Rib & Salmon will be served. Vegetarian option for a delicious cheese based soup will also be offered. In celebration of Black History Month, the Los Alamos Arts Council’s upcoming Brown Bag show will feature a collaboration of music and poetry.
