Cinema Cindy Reviews ‘The Judge’

By CYNTHIA BIDDLECOMB

“The Judge” stars Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall as estranged son and father, Hank and Joseph “Judge” Palmer. Vincent D’Onofrio and Jeremy Strong play Judge’s other two sons, who, unlike Hank, still live in the same small town as their father.

Hank must suddenly leave his successful Chicago defense attorney practice (and his much less successful marriage) to attend his mother’s funeral back in Indiana. Hank’s return to the family home is key to the dysfunction and mistrust that erupt when he shows up.

As happens in such coming home movies, Hank meets up with his past Read More

First, the not-so-good news: More teens die from car crashes than any other cause. And the first year of driving is the most dangerous.

The good news: There’s something we all can do about it. And it involves a celebration!

That’s what Celebrate My Drive is about – celebrating this big, new life of freedom that comes with a driver’s license. Part of that life means making smart choices behind the wheel, Read More

UCLA News:

National Touring Artists Greg Greenway, Pat Wictor and Joe Jencks have made their mark as veteran touring singer-songwriters, but Brother Sun is no songwriter’s round.

The trio’s harmonies, as much as their lyrics, tell what they are about: warm as a campfire, stirring as a gospel church, rousing as a call to arms. Fusing folk, Americana, blues, pop, jazz, rock, and a cappella singing, Brother Sun is an explosion of musical diversity and harmony, in the finest of male singing traditions. Read More
