The Los Alamos Arts Council continues the tradition of offering excellent programs to the public through its free Brown Bag Performance Series at noon Wednesday, April 2 at Fuller Lodge, with pianist Keith Porter-Snell in concert with cellist James Holland.
Porter-Snell is a pianist, piano teacher and writer of educational music for piano students. As a performer, he specializes in piano music written to be played with the left hand alone.

April is National Poetry Month and to honor the literary art, Mesa Public Library is hosting two poets at the Quotes: Authors Speak lecture at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Veronica Golos and Andrea Watson are more than just published poets. Watson is the founder, publisher and editor of 3: A Taos Press. She is also co-editor of Collecting Life: Poets on Objects Known and Imagined.

Fuller Lodge Art Center Director Ken Nebel is the featured speaker at the next meeting of the Los Alamos Piecemakers Quilt Guild at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 25 at White Rock Baptist Church.
