In honor of Independence Day, Los Alamos is offering many free events on July 4 to celebrate our freedoms including a fireworks show, Fun Run and naturalization ceremony to welcome our newest Americans.
Families will have the liberty on whether or not to walk or run at the “Firecracker 5K Family Fun Run” on July 4. Governor Launches New Mexico Film Trails Map and Webpage

ALBUQUERQUE—Gov. Susana Martinez has assisted in the launch of New Mexico’s new Film Trails Map and Webpage that will help visitors experience authentic movie adventures in New Mexico.
The new travel planning resource created by the state’s Tourism Department can be found here. The website can be used by in-state travelers as well as out-of-state visitors planning a New Mexico vacation or visit. Martinez made her announcement Monday at the Albuquerque Studios.

World War Z is directed by Marc Foster (Monster’s Ball and Quantum of Solace) and stars primarily Brad Pitt among others.
The screenplay (by Mathew Michael Carnahan and Drew Goddard) is based on Max Brooks’ novel and follows the story of a United Nations agent in the aftermath of a worldwide zombie takeover as he tries to answer questions concerning the new plague.
