Mesa Del Norte Apartments Get A Facelift

LANB and FHLB News:

Los Alamos National Bank (LANB) and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) have announced that they have awarded a $252,000 Affordable Housing Program (AHP) grant to YES Housing, Inc. to assist with the rehabilitation of a dated apartment community on North Mesa in Los Alamos.

The grant funds are part of a $6.2 million project that will revitalize the property into a new and vibrant affordable housing community.

Los Alamos County Clerk Says Same-Sex Marriage Not Yet Legal in New Mexico

Santa Fe Mayor David Coss announced that he believes same-sex marriage is legal in New Mexico and is encouraging city and county clerks to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. 

Santa Fe City Attorney Geno Zamora and City Councilor Patti Bushee also voiced their support for gay marriage.

Two Albuquerque residents riding a motorcyle down N.M. 4 toward Los Alamos hit the guardrail and were thrown over the side at approximately 5:20 p.m. Thursday and were transported to Los Alamos Medical Center.
