In its Open Government Directive, dated Dec. 8, 2009, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) called upon Government agencies to open their doors and data to the American people.
To evaluate progress toward that goal, OMB instructed the Federal Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Information Officer (CIO) to develop an Open Government Dashboard. Initially, that Dashboard focused on the various deliverables explicitly identified in the OMB Directive, but the current revision offers a more holistic set of metrics, informed by each agency’s Open Government Plan.

New Mexico State University’s Cooperative Extension Service has gathered youth age 15 through 19 to participate in a unique summer experience, June 3-8 at the Valles Caldera National Preserve.
Thirty-one youth from Silver City to Ft. Sumner to Acoma are attending this second annual New Mexico Youth Ranch Management Camp where they are receiving training in all aspects of ranch management. Read More
Open World Leadership Center Official Here for Russian Visit
District 43 Rep. Jim Hall, R-Los Alamos, Santa Fe and Sandoval counties is participating in a tour with a group of visiting Russians scheduled at the Roundhouse in Santa Fe at 9 a.m., June 13 followed by a meeting at 10 a.m. with Gov. Susana Martinez.
Lawry Mann of the Los Alamos-Sarov Sister Cities organization announced that Maura Shelden, the head of public relations for the Open World Leadership Center in Washington, D.C. will travel to the area for the event.
Mann reported that Shelden said her organization wants to use the Los Alamos exchange program as a “poster child” for their Center.
