Big Turnaround In Fed’s Projected Path For Rates

The risks to our forecast and to the US economy increased considerably after the latest statement from the FOMC with its updated projections for the path of interest rates. As an example, the March 2022 projection for the federal funds rate for 2022 was 1.9%, which was still below what is currently called the ‘neutral’ level for the federal funds rate.

ALBUQUERQUE — The U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) has awarded New Mexico a Navigator grant of $2.8 million to expand outreach and support for Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits in marginalized communities.

JMEC Submits New Rate Increase Proposal

ESPAÑOLA — Jemez Mountains Electric Cooperative, Inc., (JMEC) filed an amended rate increase application June 10, with an updated cost of service study as ordered Feb. 23, by the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission (PRC).
JMEC’s rates for the average (722 kWh) residential user would be the third lowest among all 11 New Mexico electric cooperatives served by Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc.
