National Park Tourism In New Mexico Creates $195 Million In Economic Benefit

LAKEWOOD, Colo. — A new National Park Service (NPS) report shows that 2,449,307 visitors to national parks in the state of New Mexico spent $156,200,000 in the state in 2021.

That spending resulted in 2,076 jobs and had a cumulative benefit to the state economy of $195,700,000.

The peer-reviewed visitor spending analysis was conducted by economists at the National Park Service and the U.S. Geological Survey.
