Yasmin and Eliverio Acosta have purchased the UPEX Store from Melanie & Ernest Bennett. Yasmin Acosta has been a long-time employee of Bennett’s Fine Jewelry and UPEX.

They will be opening UPEX & Gifts, LLC in both the current UPEX space and the space next door that was previously Bennett’s Fine Jewelry.

The Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the new Dance Arts Los Alamos dance studio location called DALA Downtown. There will be a ribbon cutting at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22.

After looking for a more central location for their classes in Los Alamos, Dance Arts Los Alamos (DALA) leased their new dance studio space at 1650 Trinity Ave, Suite 115 in Los Alamos.

US Department Of The Interior Extends Abandoned Mine Land Program Through 2034

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Department of the Interior (DOI) has announced that the Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSMRE) is extending the Abandoned Mine Reclamation Fund program through 2034 and making other changes to the program, as directed by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

This extension, through an interim final rule, will provide for continued funding to states and Tribes for reclaiming hazardous abandoned mines, replacing polluted water supplies, and reducing legacy pollution in coalfield communities. Read More
