New Economic Impact Study Released On New Mexico Film Incentive Program 2020 Through 2021

SANTA FE – The New Mexico Economic Development Department (NMEDD) and the New Mexico Film Office have released and presented a new economic impact study on New Mexico’s film and television industry.
The independent study, commissioned by the New Mexico Film Office, was completed by Olsberg SPI an international creative industries consultant firm specializing in the global screen sector.

For the first time, KTAOS 101.9 FM is broadcasting outside of Taos. Throughout Friday, the solar-powered radio station will be transmitting live from Los Alamos.
KTAOS National Marketing Representative Tom Gatti said DJ Paddy Mac will host his Friday morning show, which is 8:15 a.m. to noon, at Fuller Lodge. Then, from 2-4 p.m. Friday Paddy Mac and station owner Katie Speirs will be at Petree Garden Center and Florist.

State Supreme Court Limits Jurisdiction For Lawsuits In New Mexico Against Out-Of-State Corporations

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Supreme Court has narrowed the circumstances when corporations based in other states can be sued in New Mexico.
In a unanimous opinion, the Court rejected a legal theory that authorized New Mexico courts to decide all claims against out-of-state corporations that registered to conduct business in New Mexico and appointed a registered agent in the state to receive notices of lawsuits against it.

New Mexico Unemployment Insurance Operations Center Closed Thursday And Friday In Observance Of Thanksgiving

ALBUQUERQUE — All New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions’ (NMDWS) offices, including the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Operations Center, will be closed Thursday, Nov. 25 and Friday, Nov. 26 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
The department urges claimants to plan accordingly.
