Sim Balkey will take the stage in the second live concert back at Ashley Pond in the 2021 Los Alamos Summer Concert Series, presented by Toyota of Santa Fe and produced by Sancre Productions and Los Alamos County.
This country singer sensation takes the stage following opening acts by the Ordinary Things Band, Santa Fe Symphony Association and the Family YMCA.

Water Outage Affecting Businesses On Trinity Drive
COUNTY News:
Some commercial buildings on Trinity Drive between Knecht and 15 Street are without water this afternoon after a valve broke.
Specific businesses without water include Enterprise Bank & Trust at 1200 Trinity Dr., as well as offices in buildings 1362 and 1340 Trinity Dr.
Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities water crews are repairing the valve and estimate that water will be fully restored by 8 p.m. today to these customers.
No traffic impacts are expected, and no other commercial buildings should be affected by the outage.

As you may recall, during the last legislative session, Think New Mexico successfully championed the enactment of a new law prohibiting the taxation of food that is delivered by grocery stores to New Mexicans.
That law took effect July 1, 2021.
The sale of food at grocery stores has been tax-free since Think New Mexico won passage of a law repealing the food tax back in 2004. This year’s law closed a loophole that allowed some stores to impose tax on food when it was delivered to a customer, rather than being purchased inside a store – a problematic practice during a pandemic. Pebble Labs Seeks To Terminate Economic Development Agreement With Los Alamos County
PEBBLE LABS News:
Los Alamos County will be considering a request from Pebble Labs to cancel its public-private partnership with the County.
As part of the proposal, Pebble Labs would return two parcels of land to the County that was given to them under the Local Economic Development Act (LEDA) in order to facilitate its original plans to build a biotech campus.
Pebble Labs has dropped plans to build the campus near its biolab on Entrada Drive. Instead, it intends to focus efforts on commercializing its science.

SANTA FE – Gasoline stations in New Mexico have a legal obligation not to sell fuel to a driver the retailer “knows or has reason to know” is intoxicated, the state Supreme Court ruled today.
Under the divided decision by the state’s highest court, commercial gasoline vendors may be liable for negligently supplying gasoline to a drunken driver who injured other people. Read More
