Chamber Business Zoom Calls Now Serving Breakfast

CHAMBER News:

Prior to COVID-19, the Chamber supported local restaurants by hiring them to cater the monthly Business Breakfasts, which were sponsored by LANL.

In the spirit of continuing to support local small businesses, the chamber has  looked for creative ways to continue to do so in this virtual environment.

The Chamber is announcing that through a sponsorship with LANL, it will be partnering to provide vouchers for local Chamber member restaurants to attendees of Business Zoom Calls.

New Mexico Unemployment Rate 8.3% In February

New Mexico’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 8.3 percent in February, down from 8.7 percent in January and up from 5.3 percent in the previous year.

The national unemployment rate in February was 6.2 percent, down from 6.3 percent in January and up from 3.5 percent in February 2020.

Total nonagricultural payroll employment fell by 79,400 jobs, or 9.2 percent, between February 2020 and February 2021. Most losses came from the private sector, which was down 63,400 jobs, or 9.5 percent.

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Film Office (NMFO) Wednesday announced a new television series “Dr. Death” has begun production in New Mexico.
The series is produced by Northern Entertainment Productions LLC / UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, and is filming this March in Moriarty and Albuquerque.
