Lobbyists for storefront lenders in New Mexico have left no doubt about their awesome clout.

Council Forgoes Purchase Of CB FOX And Reel Deal

In a 5-2 vote, Los Alamos County Council passed on the opportunity to purchase the CB Fox and Reel Deal Theater properties during its Tuesday night work session.
Councilors Sara Scott and David Izraelevitz cast the two opposing votes. They proposed extending the due diligence period on the purchase agreement for 30 days to continue investigating the potential purchases, but that motion failed to pass in the 2-5 vote.

Los Alamos County Facility Rentals Now Available

COUNTY News:
Los Alamos County has several facilities and rooms available to reserve for meetings and events. Due to COVID-19 restrictions last year, these amenities were not made available.
However, in light of the Turquoise level, room and facility rentals will resume April 5, while following the current state mandated COVID Safe Practices for all customers using the facility.
Note: While rooms are available for reservation, the current guidelines state that occupancy is restricted to 33 percent maximum occupancy level.
