Kicking off this year’s event is a virtual Spring Preview Auction that showcases pieces from 2021 Market artists, including first-time Market participants.

More sales were reported to the New Mexico Association of REALTORS (NMAR) for Jan. 2021 than in January 2020 – pre COVID-19.
“1,681 sales were reported for this January,” NMAR President Danny Wm Vigil said. “This is just over 50 sales more than reported for the same month last year.”
NMAR CEO M. Steven Anaya said, “A new high in median prices for January and a 20% drop in average days-on-market from January 2020 reflect the continuing low inventory in most areas. The New Mexico Chamber of Commerce and 21 other state business groups — including the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce — are asking the Legislature to refocus the 60-day session on promoting long-term economic recovery and competitiveness.
The group made the request via an advertisement that ran in nine of the state’s largest papers, including the Wednesday issue of The New Mexican, and drew the ire of House Speaker Brian Egolf, who defended the Democratic-controlled Legislature’s work on economic issues.

Film Office On Three Productions Completed In New Mexico

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Film Office has just announced three feature films that were shot in New Mexico have completed production in recent months.
The three films include:
- Vengeance;
- Cop Shop; and
- Intrusion.
The feature Vengeance, produced by Blumhouse, was filmed in Albuquerque in November 2020.
Vengeance employed more than 100 New Mexico crew members, more than 20 New Mexico principal actors and more than 50 background talent.
