The Los Alamos Police Department would like to thank Zia Credit Union in Los Alamos for its generous donation to Special Olympics New Mexico!
Zia Credit Union donated $500 to Special Olympics to sponsor a month within the 2021 LETR Heroes Calendar, which features a different New Mexico police officer and a Special Olympic athlete for each month.

They may only total less than half an acre, but two Los Alamos County-owned parcels off Trinity Drive offer a lot of potential to the community.

State Of New Mexico Releases Spaceport Investigation
STATE News:
SANTA FE – New Mexico Economic Development Cabinet Secretary Alicia J. Keyes said today the state is already acting on key findings from an investigative report regarding Spaceport America by asking the Spaceport Authority to implement procedures that fix long-neglected transparency and oversight concerns.
The report was released today by the Office of the State Auditor Brian Colón. The review indicates “a severe breakdown of internal controls that resulted in possible waste and abuse of taxpayer funds,” according to the Auditor’s Government Accountability Office.
