JTIP Funding Supports 182 More Jobs in November

Economic Development Department News:

SANTA FE – The Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP) Board allocated $1.95 million in November to support 180 trainees and two interns, Economic Development Department Secretary Alicia J. Keyes announced Tuesday.

The most recent awards went to companies in Albuquerque, Moriarty, Roswell, and Santa Fe, supporting positions in solar energy, intelligent manufacturing, imaging, and even pet food processing.

Thirteen companies received JTIP funding with salaries ranging from just over $14 to $52.50 per hour.

Albertsons Pledges To Regularly Test Every Employee At All 34 New Mexico Locations Under New State Agreement

NMDOH News:

The New Mexico Departments of Health and Environment announced a new initiative Tuesday that offers greater public health protections to employees and customers of essential businesses while avoiding closure requirements.

The agreement requires proactive COVID-19 regular testing and contact tracing of essential workers.

Albertsons is now adopting this program to increase protections for its employees at all 34 New Mexico locations. All New Mexico Albertsons locations are now open for business.

NMED COVID-19 Business Watchlist For Nov. 25, 2020

NMED News:

The New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) has updated its daily Rapid Response COVID-19 Watchlist, which includes New Mexico places of employment that have had two or more rapid responses in the last 14 days.

There are 299 establishments on the Watchlist as of Wednesday.

The current Rapid Response COVID-19 Watchlist and closure list, which includes all establishments that are currently required to be closed, are posted here.

Del Norte Credit Union Provides Annual Thanksgiving Meals To Los Alamos, Española And Santa Fe Firefighters

 

Del Norte Credit Union (DNCU) Community Engagement Specialist Kristi Salazar makes a special delivery Wednesday afternoon to Los Alamos County Firefighters at Station 1 on West Jemez Road. Salazar delivered a Thanksgiving feast for the firefighters complements of DNCU. She explained that each year the credit union provides this meal to the firefighters at each station in Los Alamos as well as Española and Santa Fe. Los Alamos WinterFest ‘Home For The Holidays’ Dec. 4-6

Los Alamos WinterFest 2020, with the theme “Home For the Holidays,” will be different this year and run Friday, Dec. 4 to Sunday Dec. 6.

Due to COVID-19 and the current Public Health Orders, the popular Holiday Lights Parade will be replaced with a Holiday Lights Display 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5. This is a drive-through event where cars can safely view some festive floats and decorated cars parked in the Central Park Square North Parking lot, for a “reverse parade” concept.
