Los Alamos County’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Evaluation and Oversight Committee will hold two public hearings at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 6 and Thursday, March 8 in Council Chambers for those applicants who have indicated that they are ready to move from Phase 1 (Study) to Phase 2 (Design/Construction).
The CIP Committee will consider Phase 2 applications on these dates for these projects:
- March 6 – Golf Course Improvements
- March 8 – White Rock Civic Center & Ashley Pond Pk Improvements

In six short weeks, a team of 14 Los Alamos High School students and 10 adult mentors built a robot that can shoot hoops. The team began work Jan. 7 and wrapped up the project Feb 21.
The group is competing in the FIRST Robotics Competition. The competition involves short games played by robots. The students build and program their robots, which are remotely controlled during the competition.

Blue Window Hosts Wine Tasting March 4
Blue Window Bistro features wine-tasting March 4
The Blue Window Bistro will offer a Wine Tasting featuring the wines of Italy, from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, March 4.
Certified Sommelier Ben Niedleman and guest connoisseur Tom Hill will provide information and suggestions on tasting.
