DPU: Customers To Receive Corrected Utility Bills
COUNTY News:
The Los Alamos County Department of Public Utilities has discovered an issue with 200 accounts billed for Cycle 11 last week.
These customers were only charged for sewer and refuse.
DPU staff have reversed all incorrect bills and new bills will be issued by Thursday, April 21.

Lane Closure South Of 38th Street Continues Tuesday
COUNTY News:
The Los Alamos County Traffic and Streets Division will continue to keep the southbound lane just south of 38th Street closed beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, April 19.
Department of Public Utilities Gas, Water and Sewer Division crews are continuing to repair a water main leak off Diamond Drive that will not affect customer service.

County Still Accepting Applications For Personnel Board

Los Alamos County is still accepting applications for eligible candidates to be appointed immediately to complete the terms of three vacant seats on the Personnel Board.
Two vacancies will expire March 31, 2023, and one vacancy will expire March 31, 2024. Interested Los Alamos residents who do not hold public office and are not employed by the County may submit an online application by visiting the County’s Boards and Commissions webpage and selecting “apply”.

County: Don’t Fall For Utility Rebate Scam
COUNTY News:
Customers have reported receiving scam phone calls from individuals stating they work for the Department of Public Utilities and offering a rebate program and discount on your next six utility bills.
The caller is asking for you to confirm your information and to call a 1.800 number. DPU does not offer a rebate program or discounts on utility services.
DPU officials urge utility customers to exercise caution when answering calls from unknown callers. Don’t provide personal information such as social security numbers, account numbers or credit card numbers over the phone.
