The Los Alamos Fire Department is in the process of preparing six new fire apparatus for service.
The six units include:
- Two Pumper Trucks capable of 1,500/gpm capacity;
- One Heavy Rescue Truck;
- One Light Rescue Truck;
- One Type Four Wildland Engine; and
- One Type Five Wildland Engine.

The Democratic Party of Los Alamos will hold its Democratic County Convention at 6 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2017 at UNM-Los Alamos, Building 5 (Wallace Hall), 4000 University Dr. in Los Alamos, NM.
Each Ward will elect a Ward Chair, Ward Vice-Chair and additional County Central Committee members.

Ice Rink Closes For Season At 5 p.m. Today

Due to the warm and sunny weather of late, the Los Alamos County Ice Rink is closing today for the season.
Public skating will run until 5 p.m. today and then the 2016-2017 Ice Rink season will be over. Staff will be working at the Rink over the next couple of weeks taking out the ice and preparing the facility for spring and summer activities.
