County Resumes Installation Of Fast Chargers At Mesa Public Library Starting June 8

The County Sustainability Office, in partnership with Public Works, is excited to announce that two, new direct-current fast-charging stations are coming to Mesa Public Library. This is the next step in expanding the community’s electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.

County Asks Drivers To Use Caution During Water Line Replacement Along Los Alamos Airport Starting Monday

Starting Monday, June 8, drivers are asked to use caution as work begins on the replacement of a 14-inch water transmission main along East Road/N.M. 502, across from the airport.
The project is anticipated to be completed by the fall.
Construction will primarily occur south of the east-bound shoulder; however, traffic control measures will be in place east of the Fire Station 6 entrance and at the first curve before the Canyon Rim trailhead. Los Alamos County invites everyone to attend a ribbon‑cutting ceremony at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 13 to celebrate the completion of the new Justice Center wall mosaic—a large‑scale glass artwork commissioned by the Art in Public Places Board.
The ceremony will include short remarks from County representatives and artist J Muzacz, ending with a ribbon cutting to commemorate the artwork’s addition to the County’s public art collection.

Los Alamos County’s Art in Public Places Board (APPB) invites you to take a quick survey on the proposed theme for the public artwork planned for the new Fire Station #4: https://lacnm.com/FS4_survey.
The survey will be open until midnight on June 21.
The APPB—partnering with the Los Alamos Fire Department and the Public Works Department—is developing a theme that will guide the selection of an artist for the project. Customer Care Center To Have Limited Operations Thursday Mornings In June

The Customer Care Center will be operating in a limited capacity every Thursday in June from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. The reduced operations are so the Customer Care staff can attend team building training.
