Read With A Garbage Truck Driver In-Person June 25
It’s back! Every Wednesday through July 23, White Rock Branch Library will host its second annual Read with a Ranger series.
Special guests from the community – physicists and firefighters, police officers and garbage truck drivers, a nurse and a construction worker, a fish hatchery manager and an animal control officer – will read picture books and lead activities focused on their areas of expertise. Some will even bring their specialized vehicles.

Open Boating Tuesday Evening At Aquatics Center
COUNTY News:
The County announces practice time for boaters using canoes, kayaks and rafts, 7:10-8:10 p.m., Tuesday at the Aquatic Center at 2760 Canyon Road. The doors will open half an hour earlier for boat cleaning before entry.
All watercraft must be rinsed off on the patio before pool entry. Boaters must provide their boats.
All participants must have a wristband from the front desk before entering the pool. Life jackets are recommended for participants.

Water Quality Report Heading To Mailboxes

The 2024 Drinking Water Quality Report from the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) is on its way to Los Alamos and White Rock mailboxes.
This annual report, covering calendar year 2024, provides details about water in relation to safety, precautions, contaminants, sources and so on. It also includes a listing of a substances detected and the associated levels.

Update – The accident site is cleared and traffic is moving slowly. The westbound lane to White Rock is closed this morning due to a rollover crash.
