DP Road Phase II Reconstruction Project – Roadway Paving Begins Wednesday June 11

COUNTY News:

TLC Plumbing & Utility, under contract with Los Alamos County to construct the DP Road Phase II Reconstruction project, will begin roadway paving on Wednesday, June 11.

This operation will involve paving the bottom pavement surface between the Fire Station and CrossFit Gym.

Paving operations for the final pavement surface will occur the following week, starting on June 16. This paving operation will begin at the beginning of the project near the Fire Station and continue to the end of the project near the TA-21 gate.

Dept. Of Utilities Seeks Council Approval For Rate Hikes

The Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) is proposing two rate changes, for electric and sewer services, and a future rate restructuring that would allow DPU to implement Time-of-Use billing for electric service.

The rate ordinances were introduced to the Los Alamos Board of Public Utilities (BPU) at its regular monthly meeting on March 19 and to the Los Alamos County Council on May 6. After a public hearing, BPU members approved the proposals on April 16. The Los Alamos County Council will consider conceptual alternatives for a cover structure to be installed at the Los Alamos Ice Rink during its regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, in Council Chambers.
