Now that all the glass is installed, workers are busy applying tile to the exterior of the 10,500-square-foot new White Rock Branch Library on Sherwod Boulevard at N.M. 4.
Work also continues on the adjacent Youth Activity Center remodeling project. The White Rock Library/Youth Activity Center is an approved project budgeted within the FY2013 Capital Improvement Program funds. Read More
Treat 15th Street / Central Intersection As 4-Way Stop
COUNTY News:
Public Works Traffic Division staff were replacing the traffic signal control cabinet Monday at the 15th Street and Central Avenue intersection when issues arose while installing the cabinet.
Crews have been troubleshooting the new cabinet, however, if these efforts fail another existing cabinet from the Division’s inventory will be installed. Signal operation should be restored by 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Meadow Lane Construction Underway In White Rock
COUNTY News:
The contractor for the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities will begin phase 1 construction this week on Meadow Lane in White Rock.
A new underground primary electric line is being installed to improve reliability to the surrounding neighborhoods.
Beginning at the north end of the 600 block on Meadow Lane and extending to Grand Canyon Road, crews will trench along the east shoulder to install the new line. Two-way traffic on Meadow Lane will be maintained at all times.

Raccoon is a gorgeous Siamese mix with pretty blue eyes who was found roaming in White Rock.
