Los Alamos County Working To Re-Open Aquatics Center
COUNTY News:
The Walkup Aquatics Center Project to replace the HVAC and boilers is behind schedule. The contractor has not made the completion date and the County is holding the contractor accountable per the provisions of the contract.
The equipment is installed, connected and running. As the systems are being brought online the crews are working to confirm that the equipment is installed as specified and establish communications between the controls and equipment.

Kita is a young spayed female black cat. Originally a bit shy and retiring, she now approaches visitors for gentle pets.
She gets along with the other shelter cats and is good with adults and gentle children. Kita would like an indoor home.

Council OKs Property Sale To Del Norte Credit Union
At tonight’s County Council meeting in Council Chambers, Housing Programs Manager Paul Andrus discusses the sale of the County-owned real property near the corner of Rover Boulevard and N.M. 4 in White Rock to Del Norte Credit Union in the amount of $452,000. Due To Technical Difficulties Council Meeting Won’t Be Broadcast Over PAC 8 On Cable TV Tonight

Due to technical difficulties, the County was not able to broadcast over PAC 8 during the last council meeting.
Since then, the County has have been investigating possible causes of the problem, working in cooperation with PAC 8, but have not been able to resolve it yet. The County IT Division will be running some additional tests this afternoon on the fiber connection, but it seems unlikely that it will be able to broadcast this evening’s Council meeting over PAC 8 on cable TV starting at 7 p.m. and thus wanted to alert the viewing audience.

County workers are installing safety railings along the boardwalk during the winter months at Ashley Pond. Letter to the Editor: Stop Another Mistake From Being Made In LA

The County contracted with LSC Transportation Consultants, Inc. (LSC), to develop a Comprehensive Transit Study / Updated Five-Year Transit Plan (Transit Plan). Starting Friday, Nov. 28 and running through Dec. 24 all black (or mostly black) cats and dogs will be available for adoption at half price! So come on over and check out the black kittens, black and white cats, black lab mixes and other black pets available for adoption.
