Los Alamos High School Football First Round State Tournament Game Rescheduled For Saturday
Due to the weather forecast for Friday, the first round of the NMAA State Football Tournament game between Los Alamos High School and Valley High School has been moved to Saturday, No. 9.
The game will be played at Sullivan Field. Game time is 12 p.m. Gates will open at 11 a.m.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $7 for students, military and seniors (age 65 and older). Tickets may be purchased in advance through GoFan.

LAPS Adjusts Dismissal Times In Response To Storm
Los Alamos Public Schools (LAPS) have been in discussions with local experts regarding the approaching storm. The storm has shifted some, and they expect the temperatures to drop and the snow fall to increase significantly between 3-6 p.m. today.
In order to ensure that LAPS can get students home safely, It will be releasing middle and high school students early today. Elementary schools will have a regular dismissal.
Dismissal schedule:
- Los Alamos Middle School will dismiss at 1:10 pm.
- Los Alamos High School will dismiss at 1:20 pm.

Girls U10 Comp Soccer TryOuts At Overlook Today
Girls U10 Comp Soccer TryOuts open to girls born in 2015 and 2016, is 3:30-5 p.m. today at the Overlook soccer field.
The focus will be quality player development in a fun, competitive soccer environment.
Players will get to work with experienced coaches, continue to develop soccer skills and compete in games with other girls their age.
Games will be played on Saturdays in Bernalillo starting in March 2025. The Girls U10 Comp team will also participate in 1-2 tournaments.

LACDC Board Supports Voting ‘Yes’ For UNM-LA Bonds
As voters go to the polls, Los Alamos Commerce & Development Corporation (LACDC) Board of Directors announces its support of the UNM-Los Alamos proposed bonds, which would primarily be used to update the campus’ aging facilities and infrastructure.
Projects include bringing the campus up to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, replacing leaking roofs, updating 1940s elementary school buildings for higher education needs, upgrading IT systems and equipment for improved student learning and modernizing safety and energy efficiencies in buildings.
