The New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science (NMMNHS) is the place to be throughout Earth Science Week, starting with a family day focused on New Mexico’s geology, Oct. 12 at 1801 Mountain Road NW in Albuquerque.
Head to the museum for a family day featuring demos and displays from many different Earth Science topics. Talk with Earth scientists, and learn about New Mexico’s minerals, volcanoes, earthquakes, water, and dinosaurs.

The Los Alamos High School (LAHS) Hilltopper Varsity Girls Soccer Team hosted the Taos Tigers on Wednesday at Sullivan Field for their first district game of the season.

GO Bond 3 For Higher Education Will Provide $5 Million To Northern New Mexico College Campus Improvements

ESPAÑOLA — This fall, voters in Rio Arriba County are asked to invest in the state’s public colleges, universities and specialty schools. If approved, Higher Education General Obligation Bond 3 (GO Bond 3) will provide than $229.5 million to fund needed renovations, upgrades and replacement of outdated, aging facilities. This bond funding will replace bonds that have been retired, so voting “yes” on GO Bond 3 will not increase property tax rates.
