Book Discussion Group Forming In Los Alamos For Learners Of Spanish Language

COMMUNITY News:

A book club for Spanish language learners will be starting at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20 at  Samizdat Bookstore and Teahouse, organized by Katie Bruell.

The group will meet every third Sunday afternoon to discuss (in Spanish) a portion of a Spanish-language book. The first book to be read is Solito, by Javier Zamora, and copies in Spanish are available from Samizdat. For the Oct. 20 meeting, the group will read up to page 33.

LAPS Apprises Parents Of Whooping Cough Case At LAHS

Upon learning of a case of Whooping cough in the district, Los Alamos Public Schools (LAPS) Superintendent Jennifer Guy issued a letter Monday to parents and caregivers.
