Country’s Oldest Museum Magazine Goes Digital

SANTA FE — El Palacio magazine, first published within a year of New Mexico’s statehood, became a digital publication in 2019.

 

The quarterly museum magazine’s new platform will provide readers with broader access and web-friendly, easily shareable content. El Palacio will continue publishing the print edition concurrently, maintaining its reach as it expands.

LAS VEGAS, NM New Mexico Highlands University environmental science management graduate student Katherine Ottmers will be using drones to conduct innovative New Mexico wetlands research, thanks to a scholarship from the New Mexico Geographic Information Council.

LAPS Awarded School Safety And Security Funding

Los Alamos Public Schools has been awarded a state match in the amount of $305,974 for school safety and security upgrades from the Public School Capital Outlay Council (PSCOC). LAPS will pay $478,572 for these improvements.

School security upgrades include improved access control, security cameras, and improved communication though additional handheld radios. The award encompasses improvements at all school sites.
