Forest Stewards Youth Corps Summer Kick-Off

SANTA FE The Forest Stewards Guild’s Forest Stewards Youth Corps (FSYC) summer program has kicked off the 2019 field season with a crew member training.
 
Twenty FSYC crew members ages, 16 to 19, attended the three-day training that ends today at Hyde Memorial State Park near Santa Fe. The four crews will then spend the following 8-weeks working on U.S Forest Service (USFS) lands and learning from USFS specialists.

Todd, who was selected following an extensive six-month nationwide search, will begin his duties Sept. 1.

Enterprise Bank Provides 796 Students With Visit To Bradbury Science Museum In Spring 2019

In partnership with the Bradbury Science Museum Association (BSMA), Enterprise Bank (EB&T), recently provided transportation for 796 students to visit the Bradbury Science Museum during Spring 2019.

The BSMA/EB&T partnership has enabled students from northern New Mexico Title 1 Schools to travel to the museum and visit Los Alamos.

Nancy Reynolds Bartlit of Los Alamos is the keynote speaker at the National Center for Preservation and Training (NCPTT)  and the National Museum of the Pacific War for a three-day symposium, June 4-6 in Fredericksburg, Texas.

The symposium focuses on the preservation of United States military heritage from World War II to the Cold War.
