Universally beloved entertainers Clan Tynker will juggle, stilt-walk, unicycle, strum and hum Monday, June 3 at Ashley Pond Park, as the Library hosts its annual kick-off to summer reading.

Pajarito Astronomers Host Dark Night Saturday June 1
Pajarito Astronomers News:
The Pajarito Astronomers will be holding a County-Sponsored Dark Night starting at 8:15 p.m. (sunset) Saturday, June 1 at Spirio Soccer Field, Overlook Park in White Rock.
Weather permitting, the public is invited to come out, wander among the telescopes, and star gaze. The planets Mercury, Mars, Jupiter (with its moons) and Saturn will potentially be visible during the evening.

A massive crowd of students and judges assemble prior to entering the exhibition hall May 13-17 for the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Phoenix, Ariz. Los Alamos students earned six prizes and awards during the ISEF. LAHS student Lillian Kay Peterson earned a $21,000 scholarship for practice robotics innovation as well as the Sigma Xi first place physical science award, which totaled $2,000. UNM-Los Alamos (UNM-LA) faculty member Dr. Leslie Dendy will be awarded Emeritus status upon her retirement on July 1, 2019.
Emeritus status is an honor conferred by the university to show respect for a distinguished career. Based on her significant and valued service to UNM-LA, the unanimous vote of the faculty, and the approval of the Provost at UNM, Dr. Dendy will be granted this honor after her 44 years of service.

Los Alamos Public Schools is pleased to announce that Suzanne Lynne, former Chamisa Elementary School principal, will be moving to the new role of principal at Los Alamos Middle School.
Lynne will take over the helm at the start of the 2019-20 school year and will continue the outstanding teaching and leadership that is a tradition at the middle school.
