LAPS Partners With Rio Rancho, Farmington Districts To Implement Ed-Fi Data Standard & Technology Suite

LAPS News:

Los Alamos Public Schools has partnered with Rio Rancho and Farmington Districts to secure grant funding to modernize their IT architecture, opening opportunities for increased use of data to more effectively support educators, parents and students.

Through coordinated efforts, the three school districts will implement the Ed-Fi Data Standard and Technology Suite, giving teachers easy and secure access to student data in real time through a data dashboard.

Local Rotarians Clean Up LAHS Memorial Garden

In preparation for summer, a crew of Rotarians worked in chilly and inclement weather Saturday to clear and clean the Memorial Garden at Los Alamos High School. The garden, which was supported by funding from the Rotary Club of Los Alamos and Los Alamos Public Schools, was dedicated in December 2012 to honor students who lost their lives while enrolled in high school. LAHS Senior Elijah Velasquez Signs Letter Of Intent

Los Alamos High School senior Elijah Velasquez signed a letter of intent May 2 with Queens University in Charlotte, N.C. to run track, field and cross country. He has been a key member of the LAHS track and cross country teams over the past four years and has emerged as a top contributor throughout his senior season.
