Team members from left, Grant Stanton and Harmony Guan from Desert Ridge Middle School in Albuquerque, Coach Phuong Nguyen, Assistant Coach Do Vo and LAMS team members Alex Livescu and Charles Cai. The 224 final Mathletes from 50 U.S. states, U.S. territories, State Department schools and Department of Defense schools and their coaches were treated to a National Competition experience like no other. Author aj Melnick missed the signing Saturday for her book, ‘They Changed the World: People of the Manhattan Project’, due to illness. Pajarito Press publishers Nancy Bartlit and Mark Rayburn were on hand however, signing books at the Bradbury Science Museum. They will transport books to Santa Fe so Melnick can sign them, then return them for pickup at the Bradbury. Hopefully, the book signing can be rescheduled at a future date.
