The Santa Fe Council on International Relations presents a three-day conference entitled JOURNALISM UNDER FIRE exploring journalism’s essential role in a democracy.

Featured world-class speakers, investigative journalists, photojournalists and political cartoonists from around the world will address fake news, persecution and freedom of the press.

The special Grand Opening Event begins at 6 p.m. Dec 4 and the three-day conference begins at 8:45 a.m. Dec. 5 through 3:45 p.m. Dec.7. All events are at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center, 201 W. Marcy St.

SANTA FE ― Santa Fe Community College and the Santa Fe Higher Education Center will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday Thursday through Sunday, Nov. 22‐25.

All campus facilities will be closed. No classes or activities will be held, and no other student services will be available. SFCC’s child development center Kids Campus and the William C. Witter Fitness Education Center also will be closed.
