LAPS: New And Returning Student Registration

Los Alamos Public Schools will begin registration Tuesday, May 1, for returning students for the 2018-2019 school year. Registration for new students is open now.
LAPS will send out an email to one parent per family Monday, April 23, with instructions for registering their student(s) online. Parents may then login to the student registration site to complete the online form for each child attending an LAPS school.
How to know if your child is a new or returning student:
- Any student who will be attending an LAPS school for the first time is considered a new student. You

Los Alamos High School 2016 graduate and Texas Tech University sophomore Madeline Lockhart is one of 211 students in the United States selected for a Goldwater Scholarship.
The Goldwater Scholarship was established to honor the lifetime work of Senator Barry Goldwater, who served his country for 56 years as a soldier and statesman, including 30 years in the U.S. Senate. It is provided to college sophomores and juniors who intend to pursue research careers in the natural sciences, mathematics

Los Alamos High School Junior Peter Watson has been awarded an all‐expense‐paid summer study trip to Germany.
Watson was selected as a national winner after scoring in the 98th percentile on the Level 4 2018 National German Exam sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG). After qualifying with a high score on the exam, he was then interviewed by a committee comprised of high school teachers and college professors of German.
