House Education Committee Passes Teacher Raises

SANTA FE – Today, a bill to raise pay for New Mexico teachers passed the House Education Committee and now heads to the House Floor.
SB 119, sponsored by Sen. Mimi Stewart (D-Albuquerque), would increase minimum salaries for all teacher levels.

The Los Alamos School Board and Community Budget Committee will be hosting the first community budget meeting, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at the High School Speech Theater to discuss the 2018-19 LAPS budget proposal.
All parents and interested community members are invited to attend and participate in the conversation.
