KIRTLAND AFB – The Air Force announced today the award of two Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction contracts for its Ground Based Strategic Deterrent intercontinental ballistic missile weapon system program.
Contracts were awarded to:
- Boeing Company, Huntsville, Ala;, and
- Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Redondo Beach, Calif.
The GBSD is the weapon system replacement for the aging LGM-30 Minuteman III ICBM.

ALBUQUERQUE – Attorney General Hector Balderas issued a Scam Alert today regarding callers posing as officers of a “Consumer Protection Agency,” who have been telling New Mexicans they’ve won hundreds of thousands of dollars in a sweepstakes allegedly conducted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
