Much is reported regarding the war of words between the leaders of North Korea and the USA. Unfotunately, little is said about the history of North Korea; whose official name is the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). North Korea is often called the Hermit Kingdom, because it is so closed to the outside world.

Governor Announces NM Participation In National DWI Crackdown: ‘Drive Sober Or Get Pulled Over’

SANTA FE ― Gov. Susana Martinez has announced that New Mexico will participate in the national DWI crackdown: ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’. The crackdown begins today and runs through Labor Day weekend.

My heart is heavy with sadness for the lives lost at the white nationalist rally in Charlottesville. A helicopter patrolling during the violence crashed and killed the two state troopers on board.

Heather Heyer was a 32-year-old paralegal who showed up to peacefully protest. She was killed by a self-professed Nazi-sympathizer who drove his car into the crowd, injuring many others. Some vile acts of violence can’t be anticipated by those with healthy minds.

Thank you, Carol, for printing the letter from the SOS on the ethics complaint that I had filed against the LA Future PAC.

As explanation, I filed the ethics complaint against the LA Future PAC for their yard signs as I was familiar with the campaign laws and it is a typical political tactic to go after technicalities such as these. Based on the evidence I supplied to the SOS, there was a clear violation in the LA Future PAC signage. However, and most interesting, is that the NM law is unconstitutional!

First of all, I don’t have a personal beef with the Sheriff. I don’t even doubt that he’s a swell guy. Most patronage politicians are. What I don’t like is his behavior of trying to expand his office at our expense and threatening people with lawsuits if he doesn’t get his way.
 
If you really want to resolve this issue, here’s how to do it. The first step is to find out what the law says. There is an easy (and FREE) way to do that. All public officials (like the Sheriff) and governmental entities (like the county) can request an opinion from the Attorney General of NM.
