Los Alamos Kiwanis To Celebrate Community Week With Aluminum Can Collection Saturday At Sullivan Field
Kiwanis Club News:
The week of Sept. 16-23 is Celebrate Community Week when all community service organizations are encouraged to participate in projects that support the community.
Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos is going to hold its bi-monthly aluminum can collection 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16 at Sullivan Field.
Los Alamos High School Key Club members will support Kiwanians in this project. Aluminum donations are welcome, but we are also happy to pay a small amount for aluminum. Proceeds go to youth projects, especially high school scholarships.

David Kunsberg was the top predictor in the Atomic City Road Runner’s (ACRR) weekly pace race held on the Canada Bonito Trail up by the ski hill at 9 seconds off his predicted time.
Other accurate predictors were:
- Jan Velechovsky with a 47 second differential;
- Tony Borek recording a 126 second difference;
- Jacky Atkins at 150 seconds off as well as the first-place finisher on the 1-mile course with a time

Walking Stick Clings To Screen Door In Pajarito Acres

NNSA Proposes Temporary Hydrogen Fueling Station

The U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) proposes a temporary hydrogen fueling station in an existing area of development (i.e. asphalt parking lot) on Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) property in Technical Area (TA)-03.
The purpose of the station is to facilitate the fueling of a leased hydrogen-fueled bus. This project will help understand fueling needs as LANL expands the hydrogen-fueled fleet and will serve as a proof of concept for future need of alternative fuels.

Environment Department And City Of Albuquerque To Hold Public Meetings On Advanced Clean Cars, Trucks Rules
NMED News:
SANTA FE — The New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) and the City of Albuquerque announced Tuesday the dates of public meetings on the proposed Advanced Clean Cars and Advanced Clean Trucks rules.
NMED staff will facilitate these meetings and answer questions from attendees. The New Mexico Department of Transportation will also participate in the meetings in order to provide a comprehensive perspective on how the proposed rules impact transportation.
The public meetings will take place:
