Game & Fish: Leftover Licenses Go On Sale June 26

SANTA FE Hunting licenses for 763 deer, 85 youth-only pronghorn and four mobility-impaired-only elk that were not allocated during the annual 2019-2020 big-game draw will go on sale at 10 a.m. MDT June 26, only on the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish website.
 
New Mexico residents will get first shot at the licenses for the first 24 hours of the first-come, first-served sale. The sale will be opened to everyone, regardless of residency, at 10 a.m. June 27.

Forest Stewards Youth Corps Summer Kick-Off

SANTA FE The Forest Stewards Guild’s Forest Stewards Youth Corps (FSYC) summer program has kicked off the 2019 field season with a crew member training.
 
Twenty FSYC crew members ages, 16 to 19, attended the three-day training that ends today at Hyde Memorial State Park near Santa Fe. The four crews will then spend the following 8-weeks working on U.S Forest Service (USFS) lands and learning from USFS specialists.
