Unique Birding Trip To Los Luceros Historic Site Oct. 6

The community is invited to join PEEC and local birder Joe Fitzgibbon on a special birding outing Saturday, Oct. 6 at Los Luceros Historic Site.
Participants will spend the morning at the property, which features massive old-growth cottonwoods and fantastic Rio Grande habitat but is rarely open for birding. Space is limited to 12 participants and registration is required.

Daily Postcard: Sunrise through the trees, Valles Caldera National Preserve. The Valles Caldera is in the center and at the top of the Jemez Mountains. The 88,900-acre preserve encompasses almost all of the volcanic caldera created by a spectacular volcanic eruption about 1.25 million years ago.
