NMGF Investigates Fish Die Off In Pecos River

SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish is investigating a fish die off in the upper Pecos River from the village of Pecos to Cowles.
The die off is affecting brown and rainbow trout and is being attributed to stress induced by low water conditions and poor water quality throughout late summer and early fall. Most of the fish observed were adult brown trout and a few rainbow trout.

ESPAÑOLA– New Mexico Wildlife Center invites the community to its annual Open House 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 6 and Oct. 7.
This is an opportunity for the public to meet many species of native wildlife up close and enjoy an afternoon of fun designed for all ages.
This year’s event will begin Oct. 6 with a special ribbon cutting dedicating the new home of one of the Center’s most beloved Animal Ambassadors and long-time resident, Sly, a Red-eared Slider turtle.

CINCINNATI, Ohio ― The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center (EMCBC) Monday issued a renewal Agreement to the National Conference of State Legislatures.
The Agreement, entitled “National Conference of State Legislatures” was renewed Sept. 17 for a five-year period of performance.
