NPS: Hidden Valley Fire Receives Rain

JEMEZ SPRINGS Monday evening the Hidden Valley Fire received approximately .49 inches of rain, further reducing fire behavior. The chance for monsoonal rains and thunderstorms will remain high in the afternoons through the end of the week and minimal fire behavior is predicted for the Hidden Valley Fire.

Red Cross Opens Shelter Due To Flooding In Santa Fe

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Chapter of the American Red Cross has opened a shelter at the request of the City of Santa Fe Office of Emergency Management at the Geneva Chavez Community Center, 3221 W. Rodeo Road in response to the flooding in Santa Fe.

The New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) is proposing to repeal 20.2.20NMAC – Lime Manufacturing Plants – Particulate Matter.
 
There are no lime manufacturing plants in New Mexico, and only one hydrator, the Lhoist NA lime hydrating plant in Belen in Valencia County.
 
This rule regulates PM, which encompasses: Total Suspended Particulate matter (TSP); PM10 (particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter less than or equal to a nominal 10 micrometers); and PM2.5 (particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter less than or equal to a nominal 2.5 micrometers).
